A new deputy group "Restoration of Ukraine" has been created in the Verkhovna Rada. It included 17 people's deputies: former members of the Opposition Platform for Life faction and several deputies from the Servant of the People. Co-chairs Igor Abramovich (elected on the list from the Opposition Platform for Life) and Maxim Yefimov (majority voter from Kramatorsk)

Mayor of Kherson Igor Kolykhaev: I can assume that more substantive discussions about the referendum will begin closer to December 2022. If by that time the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not take decisive steps and actions towards the liberation of the Kherson region, then, indeed, it may be too late

Leonid Slutsky, a member of the negotiating delegation, actually confirmed the plans to hold "referendums" in the L/DNR: "There will be "significant events" here in the coming months. The population of the "DNR" and "LNR" will express their position, as earlier in the Crimea and Sevastopol, as they themselves consider how to live on. This is their own position, not Kyiv's."
