Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Ukraine can hold elections, but they must be conditional on a ceasefire, at least for the duration of the election process and voting. Frankly, we here in Ukraine believe that America should discuss this with the Russian side.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy: If our partners, including our key partner in Washington, are talking so much and so specifically about elections in Ukraine—elections under martial law—we must provide Ukrainian legal answers to every question and every doubt. It's not easy, but we certainly don't need pressure to do so. I expect the people's deputies to offer their perspective.
