Volodymyr Zelensky: It is expected that Ukraine will submit the agreement for ratification by parliament and/or hold a nationwide referendum for approval. Ukraine may decide to hold elections simultaneously with the referendum. Security guarantees will enter into force only upon full ratification of the agreement or its approval by referendum.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Martial law will not be lifted immediately after the peace agreement is signed; it will remain in place for several more months. Therefore, it will be impossible to hold parliamentary and local elections quickly.
